ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

The University of Notre Dame Australia is a private Catholic University with over 1,000 permanent staff providing an exceptional educational experience to over 12,000 students across our Fremantle, Broome, and Sydney campuses, as well as clinical schools in Victoria and New South Wales.

Majarlin is bound by its Commonwealth contract and as a result only able to offer Fixed Term contracts until the end of its current 3-year funding cycle. We have every expectation that this contract will renew for 2025 and Majarlin staff will be offered a new contract for the next funding cycle.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Researcher is responsible for providing research leadership for the development of remote, rural and Indigenous health, health services and workforce research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervision of research-support and administrative staff.
  • Provide a major role in all aspects of major research projects including management and/or leadership of large research projects or teams.
  • Supervision of the research of less senior research-only Academic Staff Members.
  • Promotion of research links with outside bodies.
  • Responsibility for the oversight of financial management of grants.
  • Supervision of major honours or postgraduate research projects.
  • Higher level research-related administrative functions.

ABOUT YOU

  • Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University
  • Experienced Level C or D research-only Academic.
  • Demonstrated academic excellence and outstanding contribution to research.
  • Tertiary or post graduate qualifications.
  • Supervision of research-support and administrative staff.
  • A major role in all aspects of major research projects including management and/or leadership of large research projects or teams
  • Supervision of the research of less senior research-only Academic Staff Members.
  • Promotion of research links with outside bodies.
