YOUR TASKS
- You investigate the molecular mechanism of adventitious root development using the pro-auxin HYSPARIN as part of a short-term (1 year) project. You investigate the mode of action of HYSPARIN on adventitious root induction. You study the behavior of in vitro grown mutants and transgenics. You analyze the expression of key signaling gene using reporters and transcriptomics.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- You hold a a Master’s degree or a PhD degree in Bioscience Engineering (cell and gene biotechnology, or agriculture) or Sciences (biotechnology, biochemistry or biology), with experience in root development and auxin biology.
- You have a good knowledge of molecular biology, biotechnology and genetics. You understand techniques such as genome editing, transcriptome analysis and tissue culture. You are able to perform statistical analyses independently. You enjoy working with advanced microscopes and molecular biology. You seek challenges and have a good capacity for creative problem solving. You have a critical mindset and are eager to learn. You are a good communicator and wish to dive into the world of scientific research and discovery as part an international team.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU
- We offer you a contract of definite duration of 1 year.
- Your contract will start on 1/11/2023 at the earliest.
- Your remuneration will be determined by salary scale WM1 to WM4 (if you hold a Master’s degree) or salary scale PD1 to PD4 (if you hold a doctorate). Click here for more information about our salary scales.
