Candidate should have knowledge of algebraic topology, homological algebra and some experience with group cohomology. Some background in chromatic homotopy theory and (or) geometric group theory would be very useful but not necessary. They will be expected to write research articles and participate fully in the research activities of the Department. 

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6,  £37,099 – £44,263 per annum and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.

This post is funding limited for 24 months, with a start date between 1 January and 1 July 2023.

This role is based in the UK and as such the successful candidate will be required to live and work in the UK.
