Postdoc of Field: Sustainability and Innovation in Food Systems, University of Copenhagen, Denmark, Europe

Faculty of Science, Department of Food Science invites application for 2 dedicated postdoctoral positions, each for an initial period of 2-year, starting at 1 September 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. The candidates will join the Food Design and Sustainability research group and both positions have the possibility for extension of employment.

The roles will be dedicated to one or more of the below research areas

  • Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and Techno-Economic Analyses (TEA) of food processing technologies
  • Hybrid-LCA or Environmental Extended Input-Output modelling
  • Modelling and simulation of food processing technologies
  • Consumer studies to assess social readiness and perceptions towards new food technologies and products

The postdoc’s duties will include research within regenerative circular food systems as well as teaching. The post.doc. positions may also include performance of other duties.

The candidates must have qualifications and experience within one or more of the following areas:

  • PhD in Environmental Science, Food Science, Biotechnology or a related fields
  • Demonstrated experience in LCA, TEA, Food process or Input-Output Modelling
  • Strong background in statistical analysis, modeling, and optimization techniques
  • Experience in consumer behavior research and market analysis
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
