The Department of Economics at the University of Konstanz offers the position of a post-doctoral researcher or a PhD student in the area of Accounting. Since the research projects in Accounting and Auditing use behavioural experiments and/or analytical models as a basis, we encourage applications of candidates with a strong methods background and an interest in Accounting or Auditing research.
Your Responsibilities
- Research in the areas of Accounting and/or Auditing
- Teaching of 4 hours per semester week, preparing and grading exams, and supervising a limited number of bachelor and master’s theses
- Administrative duties (e.g., the coordination of teaching assistants)
Your Competencies
- Applicants for a post-doctoral position should have (or be close to obtaining) a PhD in Accounting or a related discipline, with a background in Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, or Auditing
- Applicants for a PhD-position should have (or be close to obtaining) a master’s degree in business economics or economics
- Applicants should have a background in experimental and/or analytical methods
