The GUPRS provides a living allowance of AUD $32,192 (2023 rate, indexed annually) per annum — paid as a fortnightly stipend, and a relocation allowance. Sick leave, parental leave and leave of absence provisions also apply. This scholarship does not cover tuition fees. Please note:

- International tuition fees vary depending on which school or research centre you will be enrolling in. Refer to the Australian Government RTP International Fee Offset Scholarship and the Griffith University International Postgraduate Research Scholarship for tuition fee scholarships.
To be eligible for consideration for award of a Griffith University Postgraduate Research Scholarship, applicants must be commencing or enrolled in a research program at Griffith University. Applicants must not be receiving income from another source to support their general living costs that provides a benefit greater than 75% of the GUPRS stipend. Income unrelated to the candidate’s research program, or income received for the candidate’s research program but not for the purposes of supporting general living costs, is not to be taken into account.
