An opportunity has arisen working in the Doctoral Recruitment & Admissions Team to provide a professional admissions service to prospective doctoral students, applicants for doctoral study and academic staff.

About the role
As a team, we work together to provide a friendly, fair and equitable admissions process that allows applicants to present themselves and their qualifications in the best possible way.
In this role, you will work closely with other Doctoral College staff as well as with professional services representatives and academic colleagues, empowering them to recruit the very best doctoral candidates from across the globe. You will answer enquiries, process applications for doctoral study, coordinate and administer various doctoral funding competitions and assist with wider doctoral recruitment activities.
This role is available on a full-time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis.
About you
To be successful in the role, you will need to be highly organised, able to manage a busy workload with conflicting priorities and have an excellent eye for detail, thus enabling the team to uphold its high standards in recruitment and admissions and ensuring that our services are efficient and effective.
You will also need to uphold University admissions regulations, as well as compliance issues relating to fees and funding, student immigration and contracts.
We are currently working to develop harmonised systems and processes, so being able to adapt and work with change is key.
In order to enable success, it is essential that you recognise and value good communication and are able to work closely with the rest of the Doctoral Recruitment & Admissions Team, as well as being able to work on your own initiative.
About the Doctoral College
The Doctoral College supports and enriches the experience of doctoral researchers and plays a key role in developing policy and strategy for doctoral study. It also supports recruitment to doctoral study programmes, manages student and programme administration, provides professional skills development and helps students to feel supported, from enquiry through to graduation, wherever and however they choose to study.
The Doctoral Recruitment & Admissions Team is currently following a hybrid model of working, and we work in the office on campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You will be expected to work in the office on these days, with a choice of office or home working on the remaining days.
