Job summary
The NIHR has funded the new “Stratification of Clinically Vulnerable People for COVID-19 Risk Using Antibody Testing (STRAVINSKY)” study. Researchers will find out if antibody testing can identify which immunosuppressed people remain at greatest risk of severe COVID-19 infection after vaccinations. The study will focus on priority groups for COVID-19 treatments and vaccinations. This includes people who are immunocompromised and those who do not respond well to vaccination. COVID-19 infections have disproportionately affected this group. It will involve 3000 immunocompromised participants over two years. 2,600 participants will receive a finger-prick antibody test. And 400 will receive more detailed immune analyses. The post holder will become part of the team at based at Imperial, and oversee a retrospective meta-analysis of immune responses to COVID-19 vaccines across different immune compromised individuals. This work will be performed with statistical oversight from Dr Beth Stuart at Queen Mary, University of London.
Duties and responsibilities
The post holder will be based at the Hammersmith Hospital Campus of Imperial College London and will become an integral part of the Stravinsky Study team. This will involve (i) Joining the trial group meetings; (ii) performing a meta-anlysis; (iii) overseeing clinical research databases and (iv) supporting research associates and nurses with medical based queries.
Essential requirements
We are looking for medical qualified candidates (GMC registered), who have an interest in undertaking clinical research. It is essential that you can work independently and collaboratively and have knowledge of research databases and clinical studies.

This position is part-time (2.5 days a week) and fixed-term until 31st May 2025. This role will be based at Imperial’s Hammersmith Campus.
