The German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure “de.NBI” is a distributed infrastructure facility coordinated by the Research Center Jülich (Bielefeld location) in which decentralized bioinformatics services are offered, project support is provided and training courses are offered. A distributed computing infrastructure, the de.NBI cloud, is also operated.
Part of the “Bielefeld-Gießen Resource Center for Microbial Bioinformatics (BiGi)”, which is part of the de.NBI network and offers various services, is located at the Bielefeld Institute for Bioinformatics Infrastructure (BIBI) of the Faculty of Technology and at the Center for Biotechnology (CeBiTec). in the areas of metagenomics, pangenomics, MultiOmics, BiBiServ and image/video annotation. Furthermore, part of the de.NBI cloud is operated and conceptually further developed at Bielefeld University, particularly in the area of workflow management.
The call for tenders is subject to project approval.
Your tasksThe project is looking for a cloud developer for the following tasks:
- Further development of the de.NBI Cloud (70%)
- Training (30%)

- Completed scientific university degree in computer science, bioinformatics or a related subject or doctoral degree in computer science or bioinformatics
