The Research and Information Services team within Library and Study Skills plays a crucial role in supporting academic staff and students by providing essential services related to research, copyright, Open Education, and Open Access. We are currently seeking dynamic and knowledgeable individuals to join our team as we have 2 vacancies for Research and Information Services Librarians. 

Reporting to the Team Leader, Research and Information Services, the Research and Information Services Librarians will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to the university community. This role involves collaborating with faculty staff, senior research staff, higher degree research students, and undergraduate researchers to enhance their research skills and promote the use of library resources. 

The Research and Information Services Librarian will play a key role in developing and delivering targeted training, consultations, and resources to support university researchers. The librarian will assist staff and student researchers in formulating effective search strategies, contribute to team training and development, and collaborate with the Copyright and Open Access Coordinator to provide advice in those areas. Additionally, they will actively participate in frontline service delivery, including rostered library service points during ordinary working hours, and undertake other duties as required for their classification.

To be successful in this role, there is a requirement to have tertiary qualification in Library and Information Science or a related field providing eligibility for Associate membership of ALIA. The ideal candidate will have experience in literature and/or systematic reviews, providing research support services within a library setting as well as strong knowledge of copyright, Open Education, and Open Access principles. We are looking for an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
