The Shine Lab at the University of Sydney invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship position in the field of Computational Neuroscience and Functional Neuroimaging. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative research (A/Prof Lizier, School of Computer Science; Dr Ben Fulcher, School of Physics) team focused on advancing our understanding of brain function and cognition using cutting-edge computational and neuroimaging techniques.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- conduct original research in the areas of computational neuroscience and functional neuroimaging
- prepare research findings for publication in relevant specialist and general neuroscience journals
- collaborate with members of the Shine Lab and external collaborators to enhance interdisciplinary research efforts
- process and analyse functional neuroimaging data (fMRI, EEG, etc.) to extract meaningful insights into brain function.
About you
- a PhD in Neuroscience, Computational Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related field (by July 2024)
- strong background in computational modelling and/or functional neuroimaging techniques
- proficiency in programming languages commonly used in neuroscience research (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
- excellent written and verbal communication skills, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications in relevant journals
- proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
