Summary:
The Department of Sociological Studies at the University of Sheffield seeks to appoint a fixed-term Research Associate to
work with Dr Julie Walsh (PI) and Dr Maria Teresa Ferazzoli (Co-I) to deliver the Knowledge Exchange project, ‘Working with
Migrant Communities’: upscaling and embedding in practice.
You should have or be in the process of submitting a PhD in a Social Science subject (or similar) with demonstrable interest
and / or expertise in one or more of the following areas: migration; ‘race’ and ethnicity; family studies; statutory and
non-statutory social care; voluntary and community sector; family related policy/practice; and social inequalities.
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal are essential along with experience of working or conducting research
with socially disadvantaged and diverse groups.
This post is available from 1 May 2024 for 12 months.
