The Postdoctoral Research Associate will join the Precision Mechatronics Laboratory within the School of Engineering. The appointee will conduct research in 3D-nanoprinting using electrohydrodynamic (EHD) techniques.

In this role you will:

  • Conduct electrohydrodynamic printing experiments.
  • Synthesis of precursors and solutions suitable for EHD printing.
  • Mechanical design and control of the 3D-printing platform.
  • Computational fluid dynamic analysis of the EHD process.

How will you inspire us?

You will have:

  • A PhD in Electrical and Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
  • Demonstrated capability in electrohydrodynamic printing or electrospinning.
  • Demonstrated capability in synthesising precursors and solutions for electrohydrodynamic printing.
  • Have experience in Computational Fluid Dynamic analysis in ANSYS or other software (desirable criteria).
  • Demonstrated capability in mechanical design and control (desirable criteria).
  • Demonstrated academic and research excellence.
  • Have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability working within a research group, and publishing in high-quality outlets, often in collaboration with research group members.

What we offer

The remuneration for this position is from $95,918 – $102,962 plus 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
