Applications are being accepted for a post-doctoral associate with a Ph.D. in a biology-related field (Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Plant Biology, Ecology, and Evolution, etc.) to conduct scholarly research on the ecological and molecular mechanisms driving plant-microbiome-pathogen interactions. The successful applicant will have experience in computational biology (ideally working with microbiome amplicon sequencing datasets and R, Qiime, etc.) and microbial ecology related to plant-microbiome interactions. The applicant should have demonstrated expertise in plant-microbe or host-pathogen interactions through a strong publication record in these fields. The candidate will also be expected to be a full participant in the intellectual activities of the laboratory, including group meetings, preparation of grants and fellowship applications, manuscript review, journal clubs, and mentoring students in the laboratory.
