About the opportunityThe Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dalhousie University, is seeking up to two qualified full-time General Obstetrician Gynaecologists. The successful applicants will be based within the Women’s and Newborn Health Program of IWK Health in Halifax, Nova Scotia with their clinics located in either the Halifax or Dartmouth sites.Faculty members report to the Department Head. Successful candidates will hold clinical academic appointments with Dalhousie University, with academic rank dependent upon qualifications and experience. The candidates will be expected to be innovative educators involved with postgraduate and undergraduate medical education and have an active interest in clinical or basic research. Faculty members are expected to assume some administrative responsibilities.Candidates should possess an FRCSC or equivalent certification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with their peers and exhibit potential for significant contribution to the academic and clinical function of the department.
