Your New Role

We’re on the lookout for a proven leader in the dynamic fields of Genomics and Bioinformatics, areas rapidly expanding within the Discipline of Biomedical Sciences. In this role, you’ll be a driving force for excellence in both teaching and research. With flexibility to find the perfect balance, you’ll shape innovative curricula, contribute to significant research, and provide leadership within our prestigious Medical School.

You’ll also:

To succeed in this role, you must:

  • Hold a Doctoral Qualification: Your expertise in Genomics and/or Bioinformatics will be the bedrock of your success.
  • Champion Excellence in Teaching: Demonstrate a history of excellence in teaching, a deep-seated commitment, and the ability to deliver high-quality educational courses.
  • Push the Boundaries in Research: Showcase a remarkable record of highly productive research outputs.
  • Secure Research Funding: demonstrated history in securing research income, including nationally competitive research grants and fellowships.
  • Lead Academically and Beyond: Show your academic leadership experience and an unwavering commitment to community engagement.
  • Mentor the Next Wave: Boast significant experience and a track record of guiding higher degree research students to success.
  • Excel at Communication: Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a supportive working environment and interacting seamlessly with students and staff of diverse backgrounds.
